Artist Statement
As a writer, I am interested in exploring my ideas and allowing others to read my experience. Before I begin writing, I think about what would be appealing to the reader and what my writing would say about me when they read my work. I try to portray real-life situations around me. Despite challenges, I want to use my writing as a way to escape from reality and visualize what goes on in our lives. My written work speaks for itself. They get to see what I have accomplished over the years and how I am willing to move forward through my writing.
